Welcome to the VDW's "Safety Day"!

At this traditional event, which is now celebrating its premiere as a web session, experts will meet to learn about safety technology on machine tools in the face of a rapidly changing environment. The safety of machines and systems is a continuous process that requires constant adaptation to current developments - on the one hand due to technical progress, and on the other hand due to changes in policies and the legal framework.
Get informed, so that the following stays true for the future: machine tools built in compliance with standards are and remain safe!

Presentation programme

The Safety Day will provide information on the current developments resulting from the ongoing revision of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. Several topics are currently under discussion, such as the integration of safety and cybersecurity or the digital delivery of operating instructions. In addition, machine manufacturers, component suppliers and health and safety experts will show what requirements are placed on modern machine tools and how they are currently being met.
